SafeMate AI
Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Welcome to SafeMate AI. These terms apply when you use our website and app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What SafeMate AI does
SafeMate AI produces AI-assisted drafts of safety documents — risk assessments, method statements and risk assessments (RAMS), toolbox talks, emergency plans, incident reports and similar — based on the information you provide. It is a drafting tool that saves you time. It is not a safety consultant, and it does not inspect your site.
AI-assisted drafts — you must verify before use
Every document SafeMate AI produces is a draft generated with artificial intelligence. Before you rely on any document, you must:
- Verify its contents against the actual conditions on your site, on the day the work happens.
- Have it reviewed and signed off by a competent person — someone with the training, experience and knowledge appropriate to the work.
- Update it whenever site conditions, the work, or the law change.
SafeMate AI does not replace professional safety advice, a site inspection, or the legal duties of an employer, contractor or self-employed person under Maltese health and safety law (including the OHSA Act and related regulations). You remain fully responsible for the safety of your sites and workers and for the documents you put into use. The output quality depends on the information you give us: incomplete or inaccurate input produces incomplete or inaccurate drafts.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. Keep your password safe — you are responsible for activity on your account. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If a payment fails, we may pause access to paid features after a short grace period, and your account returns to the free tier.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to create documents for sites or work you are not authorised to manage.
- Enter false or misleading information, or use the service to misrepresent safety compliance.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the service to others as your own product, or scrape, reverse-engineer or attempt to copy the service.
- Upload unlawful content, content you don't have the rights to, or content containing malware; or attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the service.
You keep ownership of the information and photos you upload. You grant us the limited right to process them to generate your documents and run the service. You may use, print and share the documents you generate for your own business purposes.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, and we may suspend accounts that breach these terms. If we make a significant change to paid plans or features, we'll tell you in advance.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafeMate AI is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, fine, penalty or claim arising from your use of, or reliance on, generated documents, or from unsafe conditions on your sites. Our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting your mandatory consumer rights.
